Club Statement: Joe Pointon

Crewe FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Joe Pointon as Joint First Team Manager, alongside Adam Vickers.

Joe joins the club at a landmark moment in its journey and brings with him a wealth of local knowledge, strong football values and an outstanding reputation within the game.

Speaking on his appointment, Joe said:

“I’m absolutely delighted to have joined Crewe FC at such a milestone moment for the club. The club is already well established and full of brilliant people. The move into the new facility and the opportunity to hopefully be part of something really special over the next few years was a huge driver in making the decision to come on board.

“I’d like to place on record my thanks to Middlewich Town for the fond memories and experiences I’ll always appreciate, but I’m now really excited to get to work with Adam and the lads and to help push this club forward.”

Joint Manager Adam Vickers added:

“When looking to strengthen the management team, it was important for me to bring in someone who is a good football person, has strong local knowledge of players, and just as importantly, is a good human being who will fit in and get on with everyone around the club. Joe fits that bill perfectly, and I’m really looking forward to working alongside him.”
