Club Statement: Adam Vickers

October 27, 2024

Crewe FC are delighted to announce that Adam Vickers will take over all First Team Management responsibility with immediate effect.

“It’s a full circle moment for me. I started my football journey with Crewe FC as a player when the Club first formed and to now take on the responsibly of managing the First Team, it’s something I’m really looking forward to.

We’ve haven’t had the greatest start to the season, but these players are a talented group so we’ll start from now & look to get them playing and enjoying their football as quickly as we can. I’m convinced results and performances will follow quickly.

Everyone is aware of the direction the Club is going off the field, so it’s a really exciting challenge to ensure the First Team reflects that on the field. I’m really looking forward to getting going.

Club Chairman, Steve Parker, had this to say; “Adam was the immediate choice once we knew that the opportunity to take the First Team forward arose.

He has previous experience of being involved in the First Team set up, he’s done a brilliant job with the Reserves over the past 12 months and has a great level of football intelligence.

In addition to that, he’s just one of those people that players want to play for, which at this level, is massive.

It’s now important that we provide him with all the support he needs, so we’ll be working with him closely to build a management team around him with people who he feels will compliment him.

I agree with him that we have a great group of players here that he will help develop and nurture, and I’m sure we’ll also see a couple of new additions over the next few weeks.

I’m convinced he’s going to be brilliant for us “.

Good luck Adam.
