Approval of the Planning Application for King George V Playing Fields Development

Crewe FC are delighted to announce that Cheshire East Council has officially approved the planning application for the development of a new football facility at the King George V Playing Fields.

This decision represents a significant milestone not only for our club but also for the broader Crewe community.

The new facility will provide an exceptional environment for players of all ages and abilities to thrive and will significantly enhance grassroots football and the opportunities for children and young people to play.

The Club would like to place on record its heartfelt thanks to our dedicated club members, local residents, council members, and everyone who contributed to shaping this vision.

The new facility, subject to confirmation of a Football Foundation grant, will include new community amenities designed to promote inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that football is a sport for everyone in our community. Beyond the pitch, the development will serve as a vibrant hub for activity, with a fully functional kitchen, bar and community space, as well as being a fully accessibly compliant facility.
