‪Crewe FC are delighted to welcome Scott Edwards back to the Club!‬ Having spent several years at Crewe FC when it first formed in 1998, Scott holds a unique treble at the Club, being it’s first ever Captain, Goal Scorer and Player Of The Season. Having retired from playing and taken up coaching his sons team, Scott has assembled and developed an extremely talented young group over the past 10 years. Having instilled in them a brilliant & entertaining playing style & a fantastic work ethic, they have gone on to win a plethora of silverware, with league & cup successes coming most recently with Betley and Nantwich Town. ‪Scott, who will bring his young team with him, will take charge of our new Crewe FC U18s for the 2018/2019 season; “I’m naturally delighted to be back! It’s seems like yesterday I was here playing, but to see how far the Club has come, particularly in the last few years, made it an attractive proposition to come back to when the opportunity arose. We’re really excited about the plans the Club have put in place for us and the challenges that lie ahead over the next few seasons. We can’t wait to get started”. Danny Massey, Head of Football Development at Crewe FC was equally excited about the acquisition of our new U18s team. “They are an exceptionally talented bunch, so it’s a real coup for us to get them. We’re all looking forward to having them with us and seeing them integrate with our 1st Team over the coming seasons. We’re also very keen to aid their progression & development and see what opportunities we can open up for them. There genuinely isn’t a better Club locally that invests so much time and places such an emphasis on player development, which is why we’re all looking forward to getting going with them”. Crewe FC U18s will play from our home ground at the Cumberland Arena in the Northwest Youth Alliance League. Welcome home Scott! 🔵⚪️👊🏼‬
