Following on from Crewe FC's Colour Run earlier this month, Wednesday evening presented the club with an opportunity to provide Cheshire Buddies with this years fundraising total of £2,500! The Colour Run, Crewe FC's 3rd Annual 'Fun Run', saw over 300 people take part with an amazing amount of money being raised for a brilliant cause. Louise Bailey, Project Manager at Cheshire Buddies, had this to say; “It was a brilliant event and we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it. We have to say a huge thank-you to Crewe FC for such a brilliant day and also to Kindertons for selecting us as their chosen Charity for 2018. The funds raised will go towards providing a range of activities for the children & young people we support as well as their families”. Kindertons Ltd. Fleet Director Christophe Leemanyan, who helped make the presentation to Cheshire Buddies, was equally as pleased; “The event was a huge success & credit to Crewe FC for that. Kindertons place a great emphasis on being actively involved in the local community. Seeing the Club we support being able to donate such a significant sum of money to a local, community charity like Cheshire Buddies is an incredible achievement". Samantha Parker, one of Crewe FC’s Events Coordinators, was delighted with the Clubs support and commitment to the event; “Its a fantastic success for everyone involved. It was an incredible day and to not only be able to support Cheshire Buddies, but have them be actively involved in the day made it even better. They are a fantastic charity with fantastic people involved in it. Of course, this years event wouldn't have been possible without the support of both Kindertons & Area 51 Fitness and we are looking forward to working closely with them, along with our other community partners next year. We have some very exciting plans that promise to make next years event even bigger”. On behalf of the Club, thank-you to everyone involved. We can't wait to do it again next year!!
