Crewe FC are looking for a committed individual to assist with the coaching of our growing Junior & Youth Football Programme. As a Charter Standard Community Club, we are committed to creating a structured and fun environment for children to play football and to support the FA’s objective of increasing participation in football at a Grass Roots level. Crewe FC are passionate about developing the technical ability of children at the club & we would love to find someone who shares this passion for the sport and who is keen to develop their skills with us. We already have a large group of well qualified, friendly and approachable coaches and volunteers and you will find our coaching environment extremely supportive, with all equipment and facilities provided for you. If you are an aspirational coach at this early stage of your development, or an experienced coach looking to become involved in one of Cheshire’s largest Community Football Clubs, we would love for you to get involved. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: >To provide structured football coaching to children ranging from Under 8s through to Under 15s >To support the development of the individual child and the team as a whole >To plan and deliver training sessions on a weekly basis, in line with the coaching programme provided by the Clubs Football Development Coordinator >To ensure the main emphasis of training and games is technical development & enjoyment >To deliver coaching in a safe environment >To form part of a team of coaches >To ensure that all activities are in line with the FA Football Coaching Practices >To attend games (if required) as well as training PERSON SPECIFICATION: >Knowledgeable about the game in general and Junior/ Youth Football in particular >Confident and a strong/appropriate communicator >Well organised and a good timekeeper >Approachable and good with People >Strong team player >Has a Player Centred approach to coaching and a focus on developing individual & team skills >Level 1 Coaching Qualification (minimum requirement) TIME COMMITMENT & RATE OF PAY: 3-5 Hours per week (Wed & Friday Evenings) £8-12 per hour (dependant on experience) HOW TO APPLY: If you feel you would be suited to this role and are interested in getting involved, please contact: Danny Massey, Head of Football Development, Crewe FC.
