Crewe FC are delighted to announce that we will be delivering SSE Wildcats Girls Football Sessions from April 2018, thanks to the Cheshire FA & SSE. SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Clubs provide girls (5-11years) with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment. 200 clubs will be established across England throughout the spring and summer and Crewe FC will be providing one locally, exclusively for girls. The sessions will take place every Friday evening (6.30pm-7.30pm) from 20th April onwards at the Cumberland Arena in Crewe, where girls can have fun engaging with football! In addition to that, they will develop fundamental skills, learn new things and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport. There is no football experience necessary to take part in the sessions. Steve Harding, Girls Football Development Coordinator at Crewe FC had this to say “We’re delighted that we’ve been selected and trusted by the Cheshire FA to deliver these sessions for girls in the local community over coming months. Girls football is continuing to grow rapidly, particularly at Crewe FC where we now have a number of girls teams who both train and play regularly. These sessions will be a great opportunity for girls from the local area to come and get involved in football, whether that is just to see if they like it, or to eventually join a team and be part of the fantastic Club that we have here. If you have a daughter aged between 5-11 year old who you think would be interested, we can promise you they will have a fantastic time with us and we look forward to seeing them in April”. Our SSE Wildcats sessions will be run by FA qualified coaches in conjunction with the Cheshire FA. The sessions have been established in partnership with SSE, supporters of girls’ football participation and sponsor of the SSE Women’s FA Cup, with support from UEFA, FIFA and The Youth Sport Trust.
