Club Statement: Gary Lee Jamieson

Crewe FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Gary Lee Jamieson as the new 1st Team Manager, marking a new & exciting chapter for the Club.

Jamieson takes charge of the 1st Team at Crewe FC following back-to-back league championships at Winnington Avenue and Middlewich Town FC Reserves respectively.

Discussing his new role, Jamieson had this to say; “When the opportunity arose to become involved with Crewe FC, I didn’t hesitate. It is an incredibly well ran football club with huge future ambitions both on and off the pitch.

I’ve always looked at Crewe FC as an example of how to conduct yourself as a football club & I’m excited and proud to be charged with driving this cub forward are realising our ambitions.

My previous teams have always been hardworking and enjoyable to watch in equal measure, but fundamentally, we’ve had a winning mentality and that’s something we won’t be compromising on. I am excited to get started”

Crewe FC Chairman, Steve Parker, also welcomed the new appointment; “Gary has overseen remarkable success in the Cheshire Football League over the past few years & his winning mentality and outstanding track record were pivotal in our decision.

We've witnessed first hand his impact on the players & teams he’s worked with previously and we're confident in his ability to lead our 1st Team moving forward.

His ability to develop young players and cultivate a winning culture aligns perfectly with our vision of where we want to get to in the near future.

It’s also a step in a new direction for the Club as every previous manager we’ve had at Crewe FC has always had a direct link back to the Club in some capacity. Gary doesn’t have that and we’re excited about the fresh perspective he will bring and the journey ahead”.
