Founded in 1998, Crewe FC is a community club with 23 adult, disability and junior teams. The club was initially formed to support the transition of young people from the local youth centre into adult football.
The club successfully applied to the Mid Cheshire League and set up a pitch in the centre of the athletics track at the Cumberland Sports Arena. They have been a permanent fixture in the Mid-Cheshire League since.
Crewe FC, a Charter Standard Club, has a community-centred approach to grass roots football that continues to be at the heart of everything we do.
In 2016, the club reconstituted under a new Chairman and, with a newly formed committee, set about aligning its approach across all teams.
This coincided with a doubling in the number of junior teams from 2 junior teams in 2014/2015 to 12 in 2015/2016.
Having started the 2016/2017 season with 18 teams, the Club is preparing to expand once again with the introduction of 5 more teams taking the total number to 23.
Crewe FC will have over 400 members at the commencement of the 2017/2018 season and will be supported by over 50 dedicated volunteers, with several of the people involved in the formation of Crewe FC continue to be involved with the club.
The future is bright. The future is blue.
